Justice Daniel Masinga will take an oath of office and assume his office today as the President of the Court of Appeal.
Masinga was elected on May 24 by the Appeal judges to replace Justice William Ouko who was is the judge of the Supreme Court.
Masinga was appointed as the chairman of the Judiciary Committee on Elections (JCE) in January this year, a position that he took over from the High Court judge Msagha Mbogholi.
President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed Ouko as a Judge of the Supreme Court after the Judicial Service Commission nominated him in a successful competitive exercise.
Ouko replaced Justice Jackton Ojwang who retired in February last year.
