“Safari Rally is synonymous with the broadcasting house since time immemorial and the event is just coming back where it belongs. The global showpiece which returns to the country after 19 hiatus will see top drivers both locally and internationally showcasing their prowess and battling for honors.
Reigning World Rally Champion (WRC) Sebastien Ogier is among top drivers who will comb the unforgiving terrains of Naivasha in search of glory at the forthcoming competition.
According to an entry list released by world governing body FIA on Friday last week, Ogier who won the world title last year as part of the WRC Toyota Yaris works team, will feature in an event that will see 24 foreign drivers and 34 locals compete in the rally in Naivasha, 91km west of the capital Nairobi.
Local drivers including Tundo, Onkar Rai, Tejveer Rai and Karan Patel are expected to give the global drivers a run for their money if not the bragging rights.
