Njambi who is commonly referred to as “Cucu wa Gikandu” rose to the limelight after a video of her criticizing the BBI went viral early this month.

Her mastery of the English language wowed Kenyans as she implored on Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro to organize a meeting with the DP.

“I interacted with former quarry worker turned small-scale farmer Margaret Njambi after her video went viral during a Kiharu development meeting where she expressed her interest to meet the Deputy President in person,” Ruto said.

Later the DP condoled with the family of the late MP John Oroo Oyioka at his home in Kitengela, Kajiado County and his late colleague Francis Munyua Waititu at his home in Juja, Kiambu County.
Oyioka passed on while undergoing treatment in Kisumu while Waititu succumbed to brain cancer after ailing for sometime.

“We pray to God that He grants strength and comfort to the families, relatives and friends of Bonchari MP Hon. Oyioka and Juja MP Hon. Waititu during this painful time of grief,” Ruto said.
