Keter spoke during an inspection tour of the project accompanied by Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, and Foreign affairs CS Rachel Omamo.

Keter said the sources that meet at the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (Ketraco) station in Suswa are geothermal from Olkaria in Rift Valley and Turkana wind power from Marsabit, northern Kenya.

He added that the suswa station will be a huge source of revenue for the Country and will be the biggest in Africa.

CS Kagwe who was leading the team said they have been ordered by President Uhuru Kenyatta to go round the Country as a Cabinet to take stock of ongoing government projects and ensure their full completion.

“The Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (Kentraco) electricity generation plant here in Suswa is one of the most impressive projects we have visited and the best in Africa and this are part of the investments that will make Kenyans realise the work President Uhuru is doing for the Country,” He said.

Ms Omamo said the project is an extraordinary fit of engineering expertise and skills saying “This is what tells us that Kenya is a regional hub, a place where regions connect in the field of energy and politics.”
